The Safire is completely stock and the Stumpy's X.0 rear der has been replaced with a X.9 and the wheels have been swapped from another 29er. These wheels are essentially new with only a few miles on them. Also, the crank and BB on the Stumpy was taken off after only a few early rides and replaced with another one that I had lying around. I put the original crank and BB back on so it's essentially new. Asking $1100 a piece.

Greetings,

I have taken on the challenge of learning to skate on snow. Humbling thus far indeed. I face two challenges I need some advice with.
Challange 1- Serious hot spots in my feet, this could ptentially be cuased by challenge number 2 or perhaps it is caused by boot fit? I am not sure so I would like to ask y'all. They get hot right under the ball of my foot all the way across, both feet. The boots feel great when I am not on the ski and it gets better, not gone though, after I ski for 15min's or so. I should also mention I have flat feet so maybe this has something to do with it? The more I push off the more it hurts so this is quite counter productive.

Challenge 2- Getting a good edge to hookup on hard packed snow. I am assuming this is due to technique, but I really find my ski sliding out a good deal, mostly on the flats and slight ups? Any thoughts or advice that can be offered will be considered and appreciated. If I did not give enough info, I apologize, but I am idiot when it comes to skis.

Cheers,
